This policy explains how Golf Design Expert handles personal information — on this website, in email and telephone correspondence, and inside a review or audit appointment.

Last updated: 3 October 2026

The practice behind this website

Golf Design Expert is an independent golf course review and audit practice led by Aashish Vaishnava, golf course architect, based in India, with review and audit work accepted across India and, by arrangement, on international projects.

This privacy policy applies to this website and to anyone who contacts us through it, by email, or by telephone — whether you are a developer, an owner, a lender, an appointed architect, or a consultant working on a golf project.

The enquiry form stores nothing

The enquiry form on this website does not send or store anything on the site. When you complete the brief, your browser prepares an email in your own email application, addressed to us, with your answers laid out as text. You choose whether to send it. If you close the email without sending, we never see it.

There are no user accounts, no comments, no advertising and no newsletter sign-up on this website. We do not ask visitors to create a profile or log in.

Email, telephone and project documents

When you contact us by email or telephone, we receive the information you choose to give us. For an enquiry this is typically your name, organisation, role, contact details, the location and stage of your project, and what you would like reviewed or audited.

If you engage us, you may share project documents — drawings, routing plans, technical reports, tender documents, construction and cost information. We use these only to carry out the review or audit you have appointed us for.

Your project stays your project

Client documents are treated as confidential. We do not publish, reproduce, or share project material, and we do not name clients or projects publicly without permission. Where the engagement calls for it, we sign a non-disclosure agreement before receiving material.

We do not solicit the design commission of a project we have been hired to review or audit, and we decline work where a conflict of interest cannot be managed.

Only for the work you asked about

We use the information you send us to: respond to your enquiry; assess whether a review or audit is useful and what it would cost; carry out and deliver the appointed work; keep a record of correspondence and appointments; and meet legal or contractual obligations that apply to the engagement.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or for building marketing profiles.

When information leaves our hands

Correspondence with you necessarily passes through email and telephone service providers. We may seek input from specialist consultants on a project, and any such person receives only what the work requires, under the same confidentiality.

We disclose personal information only where the law requires it — for example, a lawful order from a court or authority — or where you have asked us to.

What this site sets — and does not set

This website does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics of its own. Our hosting provider may process short-lived technical server logs — such as IP address, browser type and pages requested — for security, reliability and abuse prevention.

Links on this site may open your email application or telephone dialler. Those applications are governed by their own settings and policies, not by this one.

How long we keep things, and how

Enquiry correspondence is kept only as long as needed to answer it and, where an engagement follows, for the duration of the appointment and any record-keeping it requires. Engagement records are retained in line with the contract and applicable Indian legal requirements, then disposed of.

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — one reason we keep what we hold to a minimum.

Access, correction and deletion

Under applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 — and, where it applies to you, the GDPR — you may ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to erase it.

Email hello@golfdesignexpert.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. Where we must retain records to meet a legal obligation, we will tell you what we are keeping and why.

This site is not directed at children

Our services are business-to-business, and this website is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

If the practice changes, this page changes

We may update this policy as the website, the practice, or applicable law changes. The revision date at the bottom of this page always reflects the current version.
