About
Golf Design Expert — review and audit by someone who has had to build the thing.
Golf Design Expert is led by Aashish Vaishnava, golf course architect. More than two decades on the planning, design and delivery of golf courses and golf-centric real estate, and a long-standing partnership with International Design Group (IDG), UK.
The practice
The work is technical, written and independent.
The practice was created because golf projects — especially those tied to housing — were reaching construction without a structured second reading. The work is technical, written and independent.
What will actually happen on site — and what it will cost to put right later.
A reviewer who only criticises drawings is a commentator. A reviewer who has built courses, integrated them with Indian real estate, and worked inside an international design practice can say two things a pure critic cannot: what will actually happen on site, and what it will cost to put right later.
Where we work, and how
Independent by structure. Practical by experience.
Based in India. Review and audit work accepted across India and, by arrangement, on international projects. Site days are scheduled in the proposal.
Work with us
Independence policy
A review or audit appointment is not a design appointment.
We do not solicit the design commission of a project we have been hired to review or audit.
If, after the file is closed, a client asks us to take over or complete the design, that is a new contract, issued in writing.
We will decline work where we have a conflict we cannot manage — including a current design role on the same site.
Conversations with the appointed architect are encouraged when the client agrees. Surprise is not a method.
